This year students that completed the 2 annual Metro Arts Summer Institute exhibited their work during the annual Jersey City Artists’ Studio Tour. Families and friends of the young artists visited the exhibition and enjoyed learning more about the program, while attendees of the tour enjoyed experiencing the work of the students. WEEK TWO: 3D DESIGN
During week two of the Metro Arts Summer Institute, students designed individual lampshades. Each student was responsible for coming up with a theme which inspired the design of the object. They began with drawings of the design then moved into the production of the lampshade.
